    Video Jumps in all players

    Hey all

First of all I am new to this forum. So I hope someone in here can help me with my problem.

    Problem:
    - When I play an .avi or .mpeg file the video "jumps" (Also the player jumps). This happens in all players.
    - If I use Tv-out, the .avi or .mpeg file "jumps" on my screen. After that it "jumps" once again but without video. After 2 sec the video comes back.
    - When I only use my monitor the .avi or .mpeg file jumps and the "video screen" gets black. After 2 sec the video comes back.
    - This problem is rather new to me...and I really don't know what to do.
    - I have tried to uninstall all codecs and installed new ones.
    - I have unistalled all players and installed them once again.

    Players:
    Zoomplayer 4.03
    Windows Media Player 10
    Windvd 5.
    Media Player Classic 6.4.8.2
    and more

    Codecs:
    ffdshow-20041012-sse
    DivX 5.21
Koepi's XviD Codec 1.1 testing build (The problem is still there when I use a other version of this codec)
    MpegAble Decoder
    AC3Filter 1.01a RC5
    Ligos Indeo Codec 5.11
    Fraunhofer mp3 Codec
    Vsfilter 2.33
    and some more codecs.

    System:
Chaintech 7VJL APOGEE Mobo (Bios version 5.0 )
    AMD 2200 XP+
    Geforce 4 Ti4200 (128 mb) (Driver version 66.93)
    512 DDR (Samsung ram)
    Via KT333 chipeset. (Driver VIAHyperion4in1453v)
    DX9.0c (Dxdiag says no problems)
    Windows Xp SP2
Sound Blaster Audigy (Driver version 5.12.1.443)

    Cheers

    things to look at:

    - mainboard/chipset/vga driver
    - irq conflicts
    - device manager => ide controller => dma/pio mode ? (go for dma!)
    - backgroundtasks (antivirus software / possible virus?)
    - conflicting codecs? (uninstall all and install only ffdshow)

    Working...
