Random reboots when playing DivX movies

    Hey all!

Whenever I play a DivX movie, it runs for anywhere between 15 minutes and one hour and then my computer preforms a cold reboot. No blue screen, no error message. Upon reboot, Windows XP then has to run chkdsk on my two 40GB partitions. (By the way, why is Windows XP using an old MS-DOS program to check the HD? I thought Windows XP was MS-DOS free...) The movies are usually encoded with: Video: "DivX v3 MPEG-4 (Low-Motion)", Audio: "MPEG "Layer-3". (Information obtained using AVIcodec - Download from http://avicodec.duby.info/).

    Computer information
    CPU: AuthenticAMD x86 Family 6 Model 7 Stepping 0, 1100 MHz
    RAM: 632MB RAM
    BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
OS: Windows NT 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 1
    Version: 5.1.2600.1106 (xpsp1.020828-1920)
    Screen size: 1024 x 768
    Rastercaps: 0x00007E99
    Bpp * planes: 32 => Colors: 16777216
    CX x CY screen: 1024 x 768
    CX x CY client: 1024 x 708
    Desktop area: (0,0) x (1024,734)
Media Player: Windows Media Player 9 Series
    Version: 9.00.00.2980
Video Codec: DivX Video for Windows Codec
    Version: 5.0.5.830
Audio Codec: MPEG Layer 3 Codec
    Version: 1.9.305

Is that enough information? Sorry if it's too much, but I like to get technical in most things. Have luck understanding it!

    Yours,

Don't worry, I fixed the problem!
For some strange reason, Media Player Classic (http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/) is the only media player that will play DivX files without crashing.
        Thanks for your help!
