look in the folders on the CD(s), see if you can find a folder "movies" (or fmv, or something similar). post the file extentions (the types) of files you see in the folder...

okay, the files are .avi, but my winamp and windows media player don't play them, they only play the sound. with the exception of one of them.
that one plays the movie and sound, its only 5 seconds long though

download & install the latest (alpha) version of "ffdshow", then try playing your files. if you still cannot play them,

        download & install "virtualdubmod"

open one of the avi files (one that doesn't work) with virtualdubmod, then under "file", click "file information". post here everything you see in the little window that pops up.

let us know how it goes

when i try and play the movie, it says that i need the codec "FOURCC TM 20"
virtualdub won't even open it, it says "[!] Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'TM20' (unknown).
VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to
decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media
Player, are not suitable. Only 'Direct stream copy' is available for this
          video.
          "

ok, then this should do the trick:

download & install "netshow player" from here: http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fil...id,3954,00.asp

            then play your file

if the download doesn't work, search in google

              nope, not working
do you have any kind of instant messenger?
if you do then i can send you a file and you can try it, if it wouldn't be to much trouble.
