How to create multilanguage DVD ?

I have done a documentary video in Adobe Premiere with DV-AVI and used Nero Vision Express for creating Mpeg2. Then usually I burn it with Nero into the DVD required format into the Video-ts folder, which contains now video and audio (english). I have created another soundtrack for a second language incl. music., so the pictures are identical but not the sound.
1. Which format is required for the additional sound track ? Mpeg2, ac3 or others ?
2. How do I integrate this track and in which program as a second language in order to switch later between the languages ?
3. Can I do this with Nero or do I have to work with a different program ?
4. The stand alone player has a language key for switching but how do I create such a DVD ?
I have not found any explanation for this procedure but I think it must be possible.

possible audio formats are: mp2, ac3, wav, dts, m2a, mpa

i'm not sure familiar with nero for this task

i'd use ifoedit:
DVD Author => author new dvd

havind added a second language you can later on switch between the available languages with your remote control

Better yet, use muxman for #2 - IfoEdit, while wonderful, is not the best muxer around. See my sig.

To be on the safe side, go for an ac3 track. Make sure the length is exactly the same as the video and other audio tracks.

There are lots of menu making progs if you want them - Fallen Angel's titlewriter from this site is one of them. Also TMPGEnc DVD Author has some menu templates. I use DVD Styler, which gives great creative flexiblility. And lately, goonix has come up with this.
