I know there are hundreds of these threads but none seem to solve my particular problem.
Audio quickly goes out of sync when playing DivX/XviD movies with MP3 VBR encoded audio.
I know it is not an encoding problem the files are fine it is definetly a playback problem codec (or lack of) related.
I am using media player (sorry) and have recently re-formatted my computer and only have morgan streamswitcher, AC3 codec and ffdshow installed + whatever defaults there are + media players auto d/l's. (media player says codec being used for audio is 'Default WaveOut Device')
Movies in AC3 play back with no problems but any files encoded in MP3 VBR are playing out of sync, if i fast forward rewind etc. they go back into sync but rapidly fall out again.
Any suggestions as to solving the problem? if there an audio codec/filter I need to install?
thanks in advance
