It might be worth a shot to download and try, but I would look for WMP11 in Add/Remove Windows Components first, or try to reinstall from disk.
    thanks bro.

    hope somebody can help me

      update:

i downloaded wmp11 XP and when i tryto install, theres a message that i can't install it because i have the latest wmp11 installed in my laps.

again the problem is, i cant find that freakin' icon (wmp11) at add/remove program to un-install the wmp11 installed in my laptop.

Have you tried searching your computer, trying to find some uninstall or other icons that way?

yes. actually i browse the folder of WMP, theres no uninstall icon. there is installation icon but when i try to run, message pop up "WMP already installed in your computer" something like that.

geez! my only option right now is to run system restore

Try to find the following file:C:\Windows\$NtUninstallwmp11$\spuninst\spunin st.exe.
This is a hidden file;so,first you have to unhide it from Windows explorer.
If you find the exe file, run it.

I did some more poking around and it seems that laptops with vista are not working well at all with wmp11. Finding all kinds of discussions on your exact problem with no apparent solutions at this time. (Have to wait on the big M for that!)

Seems a possible restore might help, also possible conflicts with other programs.

Try some google, you will find all kind of info, a few odd suggestions that you may or may not want to attempt.

Let me know if you have any luck!
