    Salvaging Audio Help!!

Sent a guy out to video a gig for me. For whatever reason, he put it on manual audio for a bit and the levels were turned down just about all the way. When I put on headphones and raise the volume all the way I can hear some of the audio. Anyone aware of any methods to mining some of that audio?

In case it's useful, it was with a Canon GL2

Separate the audio from the video. Then put the audio through some audio editor(like Audacity) to increase the volume and save the new audio. Finally remux.

you could also load the file into virtualdub, make sure to set VIDEO to direct stream (in order not to touch/re-encode it) and then use audio with full processing mode and increase the stream by finally saving the file again
