Hey all
I'm having a problem viewing some movies I encoded into DivX 5.
The video in WMP (6.4 & XP) only plays at a maximum of around 20 FPS. The result is obviously that the video and the audio get very very out of sync after a very short period of time. The original DVDs playback at 25 FPS. I have not changed the framerate during the encoding. Everything (that includes VirtualDub) reports that the movies are supposed to be at 25 FPS.
When these movies are played with The Playa, this problem does not seem to be as severe.
Movies:
- The Matrix: encoded using DVD2AVI 1.77.3, DivX 5 Pro 2-pass at 1355 kbps
- South Park Vol. 3: encoded using FlasKMPEG 0.6 DivX 5 Pro 2-pass at 1150 kbps
System:
- Pentium 4, 256 RAM, Win XP, 'nuff said
