Went down the Lane the other night,
To tell the scum
We got the new Ian Wright, they said to me,
How can that be
I said to them,
We got Thierry Henry,
Thierry Henry, Thierry Henry, Thierry Henry, Thierry Henry ..........
Seeing as I think you only want to pick the eventual winners (dead certs) I reckon you should pick Chelsea blu. For no other reason than they play in blue and you just lurve blue !!!
Btw LFC fluked the UEFA Super Cup last night - poor performance until the introduction of Cisse who scored 2 and set up the third. Honestly if a striker does have to be rid of to get Owen I would ditch Morientes - he plays like an Aussie, backs out of challenges and is afraid to get stuck in - what a pansy !!

Newcastle have Craig Moore, Liverpool have Harry Kewell and Middlesbrough have Mark Schwarzer and Mark Viduka. There are a few more, but nothing to really write home about
Kewell at LFC - but how could I barrack for a team that LFCRULE1972 does? Against this, they won some Euro Cup last year.
Arsenal - hmmm - admin likes them, as well as Joshua (my boy with the love of CMC AE1s - no accounting for taste, at least in DVDs - what does this say about his soccer choices?)
Chelsea - seem OK, like blue.
Chelsea, it is then. More my toffee standards, as far as I recollect. Go, The (What are they called?)
If you like toffee blu. You should go with Everton. Thir nickname is The Toffees, they play in blue and are Liverpools biggest rivals (both teams are in Liverpool)
Chelsea was recently bought by a Russian billionaire, and since then, they've been splashing the money around and trying to ruin the game for everyone. They sometimes play boring football, and usually has a lot of luck. Not a team universally liked, and most of their "new" supporters are glory hunters.
I've always liked Everton, even though they always cause us trouble (apart from our last 2 games, which ended 4-1 and 7-0 to us).
Newcastle, a well established team with tremendous support, but going nowhere fast. A football website recently described them as a Rolls Royce without an engine, which sounds just about right.
As much as I hate to say it, but Tottenham (Arsenal's local and bitter rivals, full name is Tottenham Hotspurs, or Spurs for short) is a team on the up, a good manager (never says a bad thing about us, calls us "The Arsenal" with respect, unlike every other Spurs manager in history) and worth considering. It will piss off your son, but he will be able to use the "My old man said be a Tottenham fan" chant on you:
I didn't suggest Everton blu cos I didn't think it was fair mate - they had a blinding season last year and played well out of their league - this year they have started badly, lost games and been dumped out of the Champs League.
My brother in law supports them and in all these years last year was the only one he could say they finished higher in the league than LFC. Then again we won the Champs League and thats much better than getting 4th !!! ha ha
So again I would say Chelsea would suit you better mate... Plus they have already beaten Arsenal this year so that should keep your son quiet...

Well, I found this. Seems Everton is better in terms of long-term points cf LFC (or anyone else) - course it looks like they spent more time in EPL than anyone else.
