    Backing up CD's

    Hello:

I hope I dont get in trouble for this, I need to know if there is a forum just like this for CD backing up tools.
My daughter just had about 40 CD's ripped off out her car last night in our driveway GRRRRRR! I told her not use her car as a storage unit.
Can any of these tools be used for that, or is that a whole new universe.
If this post is out of line kick it to the curb.

    thankyou as always

      hi

does that work with all the protections on music cd's?
if so, I should make backups of all the new ones she has to buy.
no way do I let those abused CD's into my computer once any of my four daughters touch them!

          hi LT:

Now I'm not talking about Elvis, Johnny Cash & Benny Goodman like we listen to.
I'm talking about Rap Crap and things of that persuasion, three teenage daughters stuff! They have Warnings all over the disks and cases.

          thanks

EAC is an excellent audio copy tool and together with a good reader (plex are very decent for audio) it should be able to handle almost any content

I use an old version of Clone CD. It has never let me down.
"Wanted in 14 counties of this state. The condemned is found guilty of the crimes of murder, armed robbery of citizens, state banks and post offices, the theft of sacred objects, arson in a state prison, purgery, bigamy, deserting his wife and children, inciting prostitution, kidnapping, extortion, receiving stolen goods, selling stolen goods, passing counterfeit money, and contrary to the laws of this state, the condemned is guilty of using marked cards...therefore according to the powers vested in us, we sentence the accused here before us Tuco Benedicto Pacifico Juan Ramirez also known as the Rat and any other aliases he may have to hang by the neck until dead."

I have to agree that just to copy a CD Nero is best.
How ever if you want to convert the files to a .mp3 to back the songs up on yur hard drive I like Cake Walk by pyro. How ever it is not free it is about $30.00

P.S. that software will also rip any or all tracks of any music CD, in the event that yu want to make a custome CD. say for example you have 10 CD's but you only like 2 or 3 songs on each you could rip just the one you like and make a CD of only songs you want. Or can do the enitre CD.

hehehe, i have extracted many songs from all my metallica cds to mp3 for a portable player - not a single problem so far

i do remember, though, that one original metallica cd refused to play in my cars cd changer

i made a copy then and had no more problems

                              Hi

So, all these warnings on these disks that "TUPAC is going to rise from the dead and bust a cap in my ass" if I try to copy this disk, is a bunch of hooey?

                              I made it Chewy!

                              thanks
