Thats good to know, we never seem to think of the simple things like cables. Amazing what a bad cable can do or not do.Comment

Interesting
I scanned an old burn with nero cd speed and found the disc was crap.
I ripped with DVDD .ISO mode and re burned the movie and a much better result.
The old burn was burn with Optorite / princo disc 4X burned at 4X
Reburned with my BenQ 1650 and used TYG03 / at 4 X
WOW what a difference:
I have a feeling I am going to wear out my burner by re burning on better media with a better burner.

I just restored this back up in a nick of time.It couldn't read the last 10-15% of the disc so I just ripped movie only.I did two scans of this disc one was Scan Disc with C1/C2 PI/PO test ticked and the other was the traditional quality scan. And I also posted the after pictureComment

steve,
what was it burned on and at what speed? in english
that said a matsh1ta drive but google doesn't give any clues, most drives have trouble with tyg03 until their firmware matures
looks like the first part of the burn was the worst
all in all not good but not bad eitherComment
