Well Wal-Mart must have read the Zellers flyer, Sony 50 pack spindle Dvd-R or Dvd+R, $18.97 but be careful, the 16X's I checked out were all MIT's but I managed to find 5 x spindles of 8X MIJ & now I am really in deep sh1t with the missus because her Sony CD-R's that she likes never seem to go on sale. I don't think I am in the same league as NightTran but I am up to 700 Sony 8X's MIJ plus other assorted.

700 disks? You better find a good place to hide them in the house if you get any more. I am glad to see you found some at Zellers, the store I go to only has 16X MIT. I sure wish they had the 8X MIJ ones.

I work for the parent company (HBC) so I get a sweet discount off the price or price matched price.

EDIT: mistake, Zellers has 16X MIJ not MIT

So you are right there & pretty lucky with the discount, some places I heard won't do it on the price match, for employees I mean.

It is OK with the discount program it comes off of sale/regular or clearance prices. I don't work in a store i am in a office so the stores don't know me, I just charge to my employee CC and discount is on my monthly bill. 100% on the "up and up", now if I could only find some 8X MIJ ones.

the 16x mij might have a sony mid code, sony makes the same mid codes at their plants in japan, most never make it to the usa

you are getting there Soup, since I have not bought any MIJ 8x+ for the last few months I did see five spindle at Sear I wait for BB or CC have sale then I will matching it
