I had this same problem about 6 months ago. I have found that when you remove a DVD/CD drive it is best to start the computer without any drive the ide slot before you replace the drive. Then shut down and install the new drive. This has worked for the 2 computers I have built in the last 6 months. I replaced the drives (swapped them around) till I got the combo I liked.Comment
