Yes, and that is quite convenient. And, as has already been pointed out, the mark read function is useful.

I actually like the D9 way, but it has no 3 day limit AFAIK (option 2 in post 5). That way, if you haven't read them , you have maximum flexibility to do so.

i like the old way better too, but i guess i can adapt.

You hit the new posts link and it displays any new posts since your last forum visit (it actually does a search, and the search results are displayed). If you've visited the forum for more than 15 minutes, then it will display any new posts in the last 15 minutes only because the session expired.

test. things are screwy. it was just showing me 2 sigs on the same page, forum only allows 1.

i'm confused. is this new? i only ever saw one sig per page before. firefox doesn't show an x, but explorer has a blank
