Video but no sound with Flaskmpeg

I have no sound with Flaskmpeg.

    - First of al I've ripped a DVD to my HD with Smartripper. Result= OK. ( I suppose so... yes, I am a newbie in this kind of stuff)

    - I load the ripped IFO file into Flaskmpeg. I choose the right file + audiofile ( in my case the Dutch-one)
    - Everything is still OK. ( I think)

BUT if I start converting the files to AVI format I have a real great movie WITHOUT sound!. If I try to play the movie I have the same result: no sound at all.

I think that this problem can be easy solved because I have no other sound problems on my system. The movie plays very good WITH sound in Windvd.

    Can somebody help me, please?

    THX.

Process the audio separately. You're guaranteed to get better quality audio track as a bonus.

Extract the sound as .wav file using Vob2audio or graphedit. Amplify the sound (if you wish) using any sound editor, such as Cooledit or wavelab. Convert the .wav file into MP3 using any MP3-capable converter. I normally use LAME. Mux the resulting audio file with the video from Flask using Virtual/nandub. You will have to pay attention to the interleave setting in the case of audio synch. problem. With any luck, you've got a real great movie with a real great sound.

          This sounds very interesting.
But the problems are increasing doing so!
If I try to open the .lst file in vob2audio I have an error pop-up:
"failes to open a file in the list" !?!
I can only find 1 .lst file and that is in the ripped directory. NOT on the DVD disc.
          See attached file please.

          Help!

              Not so fast...

Which audio codecs exactly ( 1,2,10 ...)? How and where can I obtain them?
Why is this necessary? .....?? I prefer an easy method.

A little more information, please. ( newbie, remember....

Well, what audio are u trying to compress it to? MP3? if so, then download the radium codec (search for it on a search engine, eg.google.com) and install it, then try again.

Make sure the audio is 44100Hz when you are going to select it.

It is necessory to re-install the codec incase if it became corrupt or is mis configured by 3rd part software.

I installed the radium codec yesterday.
The problem appears when opening the .lst file.

And I have already ripped the DVD 3 times with Smartripper...

                      Thanks Techno.
This is a big step forward.
Only one remark: I had to uncheck the DeCSS-ASPI setting because if I don't an error message appears: WNASP32 not initialised.

                      ?

Back to your sound problem (You're steering away). You have to manually write your .lst file. I don't know if the ripper will correctly create it, but I've always trusted my own work. It's simple. It's a .txt file (renamed to .lst) with the content describing the location of your VOB files (complete with the folder location. An example:
                          E:\OMG01\VTS_01_1.VOB
                          E:\OMG01\VTS_01_2.VOB
                          .
                          .
                          E:\OMG01\VTS_01_5.VOB

Get a picture? The VOB files are the main movie files, easily recognised by their HUGE size.

Try Vob2audio again and get your .wav file. I'll be waiting for your results.
