I rip DVDs into DivX using SmartRipper. After many hours of encoding, the DivX is created. I open the DivX movie in a movie player. The movie plays fine when started from the beginning, but when I want to start a movie from half-way or whatever, I scroll to where I want, it plays with what appears to be CSS encryption, you know, the scrambled blocky picture? I doublecheck everytime I rip a DVD that it finds the key without any problem, and it always does. I just can't see how the CSS can show up only when you try to scroll to a certain point in a movie and not when you start it from the beginning. Can anyone give me any suggestions?
If it helps, I use SmartRipper to rip the DVD to the hard-drive, TMPGEnc to encode the DivX, Azid to encode the AC3 audio into WAV, CoolEdit 2000 to encode the WAV to MP3, and finally VirtualDub to join the A/V together.
Also, I have attached a picture to show the problem.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
