Hey you lot, long time no post... Hope you're all doin' fine.
I have over 2000 now (originals). I did go through a stage where I just had to have everything new that came out and spent a fortune getting them even if they were sh i te!
I know I could watch a DVD every day for the next seven years before getiing back to the start of the collection (Not that I have time anymore).... Sad huh!?
Latest addition being Ong Bak... Peach of a film.

Nice to see you.
I don't as DVD's now as I used to. I wait until they in sales now. I will not buy a DVD until it is £5.99. I have been waiting for the Korean film Brotherhood to be cheap. I just managed to order it for £5.99 after a long wait. I won't pay more than £20 for a TV series boxset (except for Star Trek which I go up to £35).
Good choice for a purchase. I also got Ong Bak recently.Comment

Hi nwg, Good to see you too mate
Do you always buy them new? I (to save a bit of cash) get a few pre-owned now and again. CEX have got some crazy prices... http://www.cex.co.uk/DVD/ or If I'm completely stuffed and I know that it won't be out over here for ages (or ever) I'll check out http://www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk/ and import.

I occasionally get ex rental/pre-owned ones. I wait until they are 3 for £10 at Blcokbusters. I may gamble on DVD's I haven't seen or know about at that price. It's not much wasted money if they are rubbish.
I recently got Matrix Revolutions (2 discs), Once Upon a time in America and (2 discs) and Once Upon a time in the West (2 discs) all for £10. The discs were in good condition as well.Comment

Once Upon a Time in America is a superb flick.
The cheapest DVD I got was just 1p. It was a Russian DVD from Ebay of Yello's Music Video's.Comment

The only one I bothered with was Paris Texas (has good Ry Cooder music). Most of them are really poor and inferior to the proper DVD versions. The PT one was widescreen but only DD 2.0 audio and no menus.Comment
