      Here is a Frogmore Stew recipe, based on the South Carolina Wildlife Cookbook version, which serves 30 people.

      INGREDIENTS:

      * 10 pounds smoked beef sausage in long links
      * 2 dozen ears shucked, cleaned corn
      * 1/2 bushel crabs
      * 15 pounds shrimp, headed
      * 2 small boxes of seafood seasoning (which brand is best has been a matter of friendly controversy)

      INSTRUCTIONS:

      * Use a big, 20-gallon pot filled to about half full with water. The best thing is to clean the crabs before you put them in the pot. You can use the whole crab, too, but it takes up more room in the pot and is messier to eat.

      * Cut sausages in one-inch sections. Bring water to a boil put sausage and seasoning bags in water and let boil for about 10 minutes or so.

      * Put the corn in and bring back to a boil. Then put the crabs in and bring back to a boil. Finally, add the shrimp, and when the water comes back to a boil, pour off water. Serves 30 people.

      I prefer Old Bay in mine...

          Before this post passes into oblivion I would like to thank the many people who responded, there is quite a diverse group of people here, though judging by the food posts we have a lot in common, we all really like food, and movies, what a combo!!!!

              Sorry BR7...looks like this thread has slipped away from me.

              Here is a recipe that looks pretty good for the gumbo. Seeing that you are a shrimp fan, we have a local rest. that serves shrimp stuffed with deviled crab meat wrapped in bacon and then deep fried. Talk about good and rich...I'm a big eater and I do good to eat 4 of them, the dinner comes with 6.

                  Back on topic:

                  I'm married, have one daughter and work in real estate, although I'm looking for a career change.

                  I love:

                  My family: Obligatory insert.

                  Beer : I like most beers, I like different things depending on the season/mood I'm in. My favorites: Brasal Bock, Murphy's, Corsendonk, Blue hen, Guinness, Kirin Lager, Spaten to name a few. Currently going through a Labatt Blue Phase.

                  Audio/Video: I have 2 babies in my life. My daughter and my Stereo. Martin Logan powered by Bryston.

                  Computers, Movies, Music: Don't we all.

                  Food: I don't discriminate; Depending on my mood, I like Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, Brazilian, Indian, Ethiopian, Romanian, Turkish, Persian, Greek, and all in between. I even enjoy the occasional American Hot dog and Hamburger. I'll pretty much try anything as long as it's not moving, and even then I'll think about it. I like to cook too; I make a mean goulash.

                  Comment on ANIME: Saying I hate ANIME is like saying I hate Live Action: Because there is such a wide spectrum, making such a broad statement is unfair unless you just don't like anything that's drawn including cartoons and Disney animated films. There is Anime for kids (Pokemon) and adults (Ghost in the Shell). They cover all aspects of life and fantasy ranging from sci-fi to sports, cooking, history and porn. FWIW, I like some anime, but I don't care for Pokemon, although I don't hate it. Basing your opinion of anime on Pokemon is like basing your opinion of American cartoons solely on Sponge Bob.

                  Cheers!

                        TNT, does you Bryston have a current souce for your Martin-Logans? I couldn't afford Martins so I made my own electrostatics. They are quite ethereal. I also made a pair of quarter wave tubes which offer more dispersion than the line souce electrostatics. I totally agree about your Anime' analysis. There is a wide spectrum. It is too bad more rental places don't carry the adult stuff (not that "adult"!!).

                          I'm afraid I don't understand your question tmcats. The Brystons deliver a lot of current, even down at 1 ohms. I have the CLSIIz's which are the most difficult ML's to drive. Really need a lot of current to drive these puppies.

                            Electrostatics are essentially capacitors which like current to run. Some amps (i.e. Carver) convert voltage to current to maintain optimal output at any level. Yours probably does. Some offer a voltage output and a current output source for speakers connection.
